Cabinetry & Construction is proud of our affiliation with leading renovation and remodeling organizations, both local and national.
The mission of the National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) is “to advance and promote the remodeling industry’s professionalism, product & vital public purpose.” Robert Wright was among the founding board members of the Central Virginia NARI chapter and later served as its president.
Rob Wright has qualified as a Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS). This training and certification enable him to design and build projects for people who are or may become mobility challenged. He has trained Richmond remodeler colleagues in Universal Design for compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Cabinetry & Construction owner Rob Wright is a Certified Green Professional (CGP). The National Association of Home Builders trains contractors to incorporate the latest innovations in home efficiency and green building practices. This certification recognizes competence in green building principles and the ability to follow them without driving up the cost of construction.
The National Association of the Remodeling Industry gives Contractor of the Year (CotY) Awards to members who have displayed outstanding skill through their remodeling projects. These remodeling awards represent top recognition among our peers regionally and nationwide. Cabinetry & Construction has won two regional CotY awards.
The Chrysalis Awards program, begun in 1993, recognizes the nation’s best work in seventeen general categories of residential remodeling, as well as regional and national Remodeler of the Year winners. Judges are editors and writers of consumer publications such as Better Homes & Gardens, Woman’s Day’s Home Remodeling & Makeovers, Southern Living Magazine, and Sunset Magazine. Cabinetry & Construction has won three regional and two national Chrysalis awards.
We have won three national Best of the Best Design Awards presented by Professional Remodeler magazine. Qualified Remodeler magazine has given us two national Master Design Awards and one Janus Award. The Janus Award is for projects that win both a national Chrysalis award and a national Master Design Award.
